When will we see the Apple iPad Pro?

Not a day goes by without the tech media community speculating as to when, where, what, how and why the next Apple product launch will be. With today being particularly exciting, in that further news is emerging about Apple’s plans for a 12.9-inch big-screen iPad Pro.

ETNews reports that Apple is currently in negotiations with LG Display, Japan Display and Samsung Display, amongst other screen tech manufacturers, looking to acquire silver nano wire-wound (AgNW) touch panels to replace the current ITO-based panel tech.

Their sources are suggesting that the iPad Pro will be releasing at some point in 2016, causing a collective sigh in ‘The Force’ comprised of millions of Apple fanboys worldwide hitting re-fresh on MacRumors hourly.

More flexible nanowire tech, according to ETNews, might allow touch panels with flexible displays and better touch sensitivity, with the report noting: “It will be very easy for a resistive touch method that can change the thickness of a line depending on pressure from a fingertip, which can enable a person to draw a picture more delicate.”

Silver Nanowire would allow Apple to use Force Touch tech on the iPad Pro, which recently debuted on the Apple Watch.
