When is a glass of water not a glass of water? Simple. When it’s a 3D sketch of a glass of water that’s so realistic you want to pick it up and quench your thirst with it!

That is, until you realise that it’s a sketch on a piece of card, cleverly tricking your eyes and brain into thinking that it’s the real thing.

YouTuber PortraitPainter has made this rather eye-popppingly good video to show the process of drawing such a realistic glass of water.

The fact that this is a 2D sketch is just mindbogglingly brilliant. Tony Hart could never do this!
